14:35.3 N.Domestic Abuse Battery - Intentional Serious Bodily Injury
Except as provided in Paragraph (M)(2) of this Section, if the offender intentionally inflicts serious bodily injury, the offender, in addition to any other penalties imposed pursuant to this Section, shall be imprisoned at hard labor for not more than eight years.
